This website provides information for estate agents, solicitors and landlords regarding the requirements for Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) across all sectors. If you are a home owner it will enable you to see what the EPC process entails and the information and advice that the report will provide on the energy efficiency of your home. Need an EPC or HIP?

We have a collaboration with The HIP & EPC Place, a fast, easy and free marketplace for people to obtain an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) or Home Information Packs (HIP). You do not need to be registered in order to place a work instruction. You can fill out a simple online form and your enquiry will be placed before our members that cover your area. They will respond directly to you via your choice of phone or email – saving you time and money.

If you are a registered energy assessor you can post directly on all the notice boards and have direct access to live instructions from industry clients and home owners. Members of Pro DEA also have additional members’ boards and exclusive email alerts for new instructions. The service is fast and free and we do not charge any commission or introduction fees.

Part 5 of the Housing Act 2004 (PDF) requires that all homes for sale in England & Wales have a Home Information Pack (HIP) available. The EPBD EU Directive 2002/91/EC (PDF) also requires that most commercial property for sale or rent, or (from 01/10/08) dwellings for rent, have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) available for new tenants to see. This is to assist with improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.
